Hello!  This is Nicky with you today and I’m sharing a card I’ve just made using the new Penguins On Ice stamp set.   Here is what I have used in the making of this card:-

Penguins On Ice Stamps

Penguins On Ice Coordinating Dies

Ice Skating Pond Horizontal Scene Die

Frosty Flakes Die

Usually I create my own background however this time I used a panel from Whimsy Stamps’ Blurry Flurries Designer Paper, cutting it to A2 size and then layering of this the die cut Skating Pond Scene die where I ink blended the different die cut portions to pick up colours from my chosen background paper.  To reassemble the die cut pieces I first lay down the frame and then built from the bottom on up, glueing as I went.  I recommend 110lb cover weight cardstock for these scene dies as there will be no warping and it is much easier to handle and besides, your card will feel more substantial and higher quality for using it.

I stamped the penguin images with black Memento Ink and I coloured with Copic markers.  Here are the colours that I used:-

Penguin Bodies – T5, T4, T3, C3, C1, C0, C00, Y38, Y19

Blushes – R83, R81, R11, RV00

Pink – RV83, T4, T3, T1

Gift – E42, V25, BV02

I used a white gel pen and highlighted a few points and then die cut the images and applied them with dimensional foam tape and loosely following the shape of the brow of the snowy hill.

I die cut some Frosty Flakes and adhered them with just a little glue in the centre and then teased up the tips for a little dimension and then I popped the panel into my Misti and stamped the sentiment in the lower right hand corner and with that the project was finished.

Thank you for joining me today and I’ll see you next time, meanwhile I hope you can carve out some time to making something very cute with your Hello Bluebird products.
