Hello everyone! I have another fall card to share and this one is a re-make of a design I made a couple years ago using the same Hello Bluebird stamps. I loved this card design so much. The original was done in spring colors but I wanted to recreate it with an autumnal color palette. I’ll add a photo of the original card at the end of this post so be sure to scroll all the way down to see it.

Since I had the layout for this design already figured out, all I had to do was stamp, color, and assemble. Here’s a list of the Hello Bluebird stamps and dies I used:

  • Wild Flower Bouquet stamps and dies
  • Garden Friends stamps and dies
  • Autumn Script stamps and dies
  • Nesting Oval Dies

Even though the Wild Flower and Garden Friends stamps are more spring themed, I think they can easily work for fall simply by using a warm color palette.

I started with a white A6 card base and added the oval die cut to the center. The original design did not have the oval die cut. This was something I decided to add to help ground the images. I used a blending brush and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide to add a light dusting of color on the oval.

I used Catherine Pooler inks to stamp the flowers and foliage. Below is a list of all the colors:

  • greens – Matcha, Sage, Eucalyptus
  • oranges – Mandarin Spice, Spiced
  • yellow – Catching Rays
  • pinks – Buttercream, Rose Petals
  • dark red – Peppermint Scrub
  • dark brown – S’mores

I stamped the bird and butterfly in brown ink and colored them with Copics. Here are the colors I used:

  • for the bird – E50, Y32, Y35, Y38, W2, W4, R00, R20
  • for the butterfly – YR02, YR14, YR18, W2, W4

Once I had everything stamped, colored, and die cut, I used the oval as a guide to arrange all the elements onto the card. Some have been glued down flat and some popped up with foam tape to add dimension. After I had the flowers and images secured in place, I added some Gold Luxe Nuvo Dream Drops in a few spots. I then added the thankful greeting to complete the card. You could really use any type of sentiment for this design… happy fall, birthday wishes, or just to say hello. There’s plenty of space above the bird and butterfly for a large greeting.
