Hello there!   This is Nicky with you today sharing a slimline Christmas card using one of my very favourite stamp sets from Hello Bluebird called ‘My Snowman’.  Please read on for all the details.

Here is a list of links to the products used in this project:-

My Snowman Stamps

My Snowman Dies

Warm Wishes Word Die

Winter Walk Scene Die

Typed Christmas Stamps

Frosty Flakes Die

I first of all prepared a panel slightly smaller than a full slimline panel and ink blended it creating a little more depth of colour on the left hand side and gradually and subtly fading as I worked to the right.  I splatter this with white acrylic pain loosened with a drop of water and then die cut using the Warm Wish die.   I stuck the die cut word back within the blended panel and this was all applied to a full size slimline panel.   Before I put away the Warm Wishes die I die cut a sparkling silver panel with it and glued this directly on top creating a little dimension which makes it pop!

I die cut a panel using the Winter Walk Scene Die just so that I could use the ground piece from the scene to create my snowy ground for this card (I saved the other parts for future scene building cards).   I glued this piece in place.

Time to colour!  I stamped the images from My Snowman and coloured them with the following Copic marker combinations:-

Aquas – G00, G000, BG0000, T3, T2, T1

Dark Grey – T7, T6, T5, T4, T3, T2

Snowman – C5, C3, C1, C00, BG70

Hair – E44, E41

Skin – E33, E11, E21, E00

Blushes – R21, R20, R00, R000

Images were die cut and applied with foam tape.

To finish up I stamped the sentiment on a strip and applied it with foam tape and a few snowflakes created using the Frosty Flakes Die were also applied to complete the scene.   Thank you for stopping by the blog today, if you have any questions or comments please don’t hesitate to leave them and I’ll get back to you with answers.
