Today I’m sharing a card using the fun Word Bubbles stand-alone die set as a background.

I’ve kept my Word Bubbles die set connected so I can cut them all out at the same time. Although this makes it easier to cut the background panel, it doesn’t fit a standard card size so I needed a piece of card 5 7/8 x 4.5”.

I cut the dies out of three white card panels, then adhered them together for dimension.

Next, I blended distress oxide inks on to a card base. I used the September Hello Bluebird challenge colours as inspiration, choosing Crackling Campfire, Scattered Straw, Shabby Shutters, and Speckled Egg. I flicked the panel with water to get some droplet details.

Once the panel was dry, I placed it in my stamping platform with the Word Bubbles panel on top. I picked out sentiments from different Hello Bluebird stamp sets, then stamped them with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Here is a list of the stamp sets I used for the sentiments:

Finally, I adhered the Word Bubbles background panel on top to finish.
