Happy September everyone! The first day of fall is September 22nd and I can’t wait!. After the hot summer we’ve had this year, I think the beginning of fall is cause for celebration. So today I’m sharing a mini slimline card featuring the Oh Happy Day stamp set which has the perfect images for any type of joyful celebration.

By using an autumnal color palette and switching confetti out with falling leaves, I was able to make this cute stamp set work for a fall theme. I wanted the background for the scene to be a warm green color. I used Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink and a blending brush to create an ombre effect. I then added some yellow paint splatters. Next I stamped some leaves directly onto the background so that it looks like they are falling and blowing around. These images come from the Leaf Play stamp set.

I picked out four critters from Oh Happy Day to Copic color for the scene. I used the following colors:
- Fox – E11, E13, E15, E17, E40, R20
- Bird – E41, E42, E44, R00
- Mouse – N0, N2, N4, R00
- Bunny – E30, E31, E34, R00
- aqua blue hats – BG10, BG11, BG13
- orange hats & leaves – YR12, YR16, YR18
- green leaves – YG91, YG93, YG99

To complete the scene, I add a part stamped, part die cut greeting. I stamped the word “happy” – this stamp is included in the Oh Happy Day set. I used the Charlie Large Outline Alpha dies for the word “fall”. I added the completed panel to a kraft mini slimline card base. The panel was die cut with the largest Nesting Mini Slimline die.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy fall crafting!
