Hi Bluebird Friends, Sara here! Today it’s my turn over the Hello Bluebird Blog and I have this warm and cozy card to show you, featuring the recent released Page Turner Stamp Set.
How adorable is this little girl reading on the armchair? All the images of this set are incredibly sweet and I just wanted to feature as many as I could in my scene. The rug isn’t included in this stamp set but it comes from Cozy Christmas Eve Stamp Set.
I firstly stamped all the images on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and I colored them all with copics:
- Girl’s skin: E15 – E13 – E11 – E00 – E000 | RV34 – R20
- Girl’s hair: E44 – E23 – E55
- Girl’s clothes: E43 – E41 – E40 | E18 – E08 – YR27 – E97
- Cat: E44 – E43 – E42 – E40
- Armchair: YG97 – YG95 – YG93
- Rug: YR23 – Y35 – Y32 – YR31
- Books: E49 – E47 | E08 – YR27 | YG95 – YG93 | E43 – E41 | R56 – E04
- Cabinet: E49 – E47 – E74 | E43 – E42 | E08 – YR27 – E97
- Lamp: E79 – E74 – E43 | Y35 – Y32
- Coffee cup: E41 – E40
You may see something particular in the armchair and in the lamp, some sort of tone on tone texture. Since I want to look like a “vintage” scene, I looked into my patterned paper and I found a perfect grey one with small flowers and I had the idea (insanely idea, yes! LOL) to use paper piercing to create the texture. I stamped the images on that grey pattern and I colored them using the colors listed above. I then fussy cut everything around, with no white border. I layered on the two furniture pieces and I didn’t like the girl being on a “lower” level. That’s why I also fussy cut her and glued over the patterned sofa. This took me a while to do, but I absolutely love the final look.
After having die cut every image with the coordinating dies, I started assembling my scene. I used the newest Nesting Deckle A2 Die to cut a piece of light beige cardstock and I stamped the Diamond Daze Background with a darker tone of beige to create some pattern. I also took a piece of Woodgrain Textured paper and I applied some Antique Linen and Vintage Timber to add color and bring out the texture. I arranged all the images on my scene and I also customized the sentiment, using the Jane Small Alpha Die for the word STORY.
As a final touch, I matted the scene with a white panel, which measures 4.5″x5,75″. And here’s the finished card!
Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like my inspiration! See you later next week!
Hugs from Italy,
Sara
