Hello my friends! It’s Christy here with another card using our adorable new Sea Friends stamp set, combined with images from Sea Life and Sea Sentiments. I used to pretend I was a mermaid any time I got into the water when I was a kid, and I would have absolutely loved to live in an underwater world like this one! To turn this into a birthday card, I added in a little gift from Christmas Is Coming. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the coordinating dies.

For the background, I trimmed down a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock with the Nesting Deckle A2 die, then trimmed down a second piece using the Hill and Dale dies. I blended on Distress Oxide Inks, using Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs for the sand, and Speckled Egg, Evergreen Bough, and Pine Needles for the sea. I added gold splatter over both panels. I stamped a bunch of fish in the background and added a sentiment, then adhered my images with liquid glue. I popped the focal panel up with foam tape over a dark teal card base, and finished with some Stardust Stickles for a bit of sparkle.

If you’d like to see how this card came together, start to finish, including all the coloring, just click on the video thumbnail below! Or you can find it on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I really enjoyed creating this one, and I hope the video will inspire you to create as well. Thanks so much for visiting!

Big crafty hugs,
