Hi there! Leanne here with you. Have you had a chance to shop the August release yet? I hope so and you have some new goodies coming your way! Today I’m sharing a card that features some adorable images from the Page Turner stamp set. I have to admit, I’m a little intimidated by the thought of coloring large images and the chair image in this set is rather large. But I found an easy way to bring the chair to life without having to color it. Read on for more!

The chair has actually been stamped on patterned paper. If you are not afraid to do a little fussy cutting, stick with me and I’ll explain my process. I stamped the entire chair image with girl reading 3 times to complete the look. Twice on white card stock and once on patterned paper. You can use any pattern paper. I choose a simple plaid but this chair would look great with a small floral print too. On the pattern stamped image, I used my W4 and W1 Copic markers to add a little shading. As you can see it’s very light but adds just enough interest. I fussy cut the upholstered part of the chair and then adhered it to one of the plain white cardstock images. Next I colored the legs of the chair (you can do this either before or after adhering the pattern part).

On the 2nd plain white card stock image, I colored just the girl. Then I fussy cut her out right on the lines. I adhered her in place on the patterned chair and the illusion is complete! I hope my explanation made sense. It really was easy to do and I think makes a really cute looking chair. All the other images were Copic colored and die cut normally then placed onto the card to make a nice little scene.
