Hello Everybody! Happy Weekend! Today, I am sharing a card using products from the very recent August 2022 release. If you’re anything like me, you LOVE Mermaids! My favorite movie growing up as a kid was Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”  so I was incredibly excited when Hello Bluebird released their heart melting “Sea Friends” Stamp set! All the adorable mermaids and sea life in this set just had me smitten and pulled at my every heart strings!

The new “Sea Friends” Stamp  and Sea Friends dies alongside the beautiful new Ocean Overlay Die helped me to create this fun underwater celebration card. I also added a teeny Tiny cupcake image from the new “Cake Time” Stamp.  The first step I took to creating this card was to die cut my background using the Ocean overlay Die. The paper I used for my background is Bristol Smooth cardstock for easy ink blending. I also used the largest of the Nesting Square Die to cut out a strong, thick base panel for my ocean overlay background to adhere to. The paper used for the base panel is 110 lb Neenah Solar white cardstock. After, cutting my ocean overlay, I popped out the wave pieces and ink blended each one. I used Distress Ink in Salvaged Patina, and Milled Lavender Distress Oxide to create the water portion, and Antique Linen Distress Oxide for the Sand. I used some Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add some brown splatter to my sand pieces to create some fun texture. After inking, I adhered the frame and all the pieces to my base panel using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue.

My next step is to stamp out my images using Distress Ink in Antique Linen. I then watercolored my images using Albrecht Durer Watercolor Pencils.

After Die Cutting all my images, I stamped out my sentiment in Sepia Versafine Ink and die cut it using the smallest Die in the Nesting A7 Die. I adhered everything using double sided score tape, and foam tape for dimension. I then added some Iridescent Bubbles for a fun bubble effect.

I hope you enjoyed this Saturday’s Card Make inspiration! I just love this stamp set so much and I hope you get your hands on it soon!!! Thank you for stopping by! Until next time, Happy Crafting!!!
