Hi Bluebird friends, Sara here! Today it’s my turn on the Hello Bluebird blog and I have a sweet friend card to share with you.

Since I haven’t used the Forest Friends Stamp from the latest release yet, I thought it was the perfect occasion to create something with it.

I firstly stamped on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock all the little critters from the Forest Friends stamp and I also added two small butterflies and the tree trunk from Forest Fawns stamp. I really love this cardstock when I have to color with Copics, I love the vibrant look it gives. Here it is the full list of the colors used, including a new-to-me foxes combo (which I really loved!).

Foxes: E18 – E08 – YR27 – E97 – YR15 | E42 – E30 – E40

Bunny: E44 – E43 – E42 – E41

Raccoon: E77 – E74 – E71 – E70 – E40

Butterflies: R89 – R56 – RV23 – R12 | R46 – R14 – Y38

Tree trunk: E59 – E57 – E35 – E55 – E31

When everything was colored, I used coordinating dies to cut them apart and I tried to figure out the scene I wanted to create with all those critters. Since I planned to use one of the big sentiments included in the Happy Wishes stamp, I decided to create a small ink blended panel with the scene.

I ink blended a 3,25″x4″ white panel with Distress Oxides in Moved Lawn, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade and a little bit of Warm Lipstick and I arraged the critters on it. I also took a 5,75″x4″ piece of white cardstock and I stamped the Diamond Daze Background using a light yellow ink to create some texture and I layered the completed scene on the left. I then finished my card by stamping the sentiment on the right, in order to “balance” my composition.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the card I created.  Have a happy and crafty rest of the week!

Hugs from Italy!
