Hello Sweet Friends! Today I am sharing a very pastel Congratulations card featuring the adorable new stamp set “Carried Away”.
This stamp set is absolutely perfect for all things celebratory so I decided to create an all occasion Congrats card because it’s a theme that I definitely need more of in my stash. To start off my card, I die cut two A2 sized panels from Bristol Smooth Cardstock and Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. I also die cut my background using Hello Bluebird’s “After The Rain Scene Die” from Bristol Smooth Cardstock. Then, with a very light hand, I inked my bristol smooth cardstock using a cloud stencil and Distress Oxide ink in the color ” Shaded Lilac” to create soft purple background clouds. I proceeded to ink the Scene Die elements. For the rainbow strips, I used the colors “Saltwater Taffy”, “Dried Marigold” and “Salvaged Patina” Distress Oxide Inks. For the clouds, I combined “Shaded Lilac” and “Salvaged Patina” Distress Oxides Inks.
Next, using the new Starry Sky Die, I cut out some stars in various sizes for embellishing my rainbow. I then stamped out my images using distress ink in “Antique Linen” and colored the adorable bunny and cat using Faber Castell WaterColor pencils. I then cut out my images using the Carried Away Corresponding Dies.
After playing around with the placement of my images, I adhered everything down using Scoretape. I used some foam squares to add dimension to the bunny and kitty giving them some movement. For my sentiment, I used the Congrats word die that comes with the Gallery Frame #6 Die. I also used the “Yay You did it” sentiment from the “Typed Everyday” stamps. I cut out my sentiment using the smallest rectangle in the Nesting A7 Die. I use this die so much because it is the perfect size for all the Typed everyday sentiments.
As the finishing touch for my card, I added the stars to the rainbow giving it a whimsical feel. And to top it off, I added some Stickles Glitter Glue in the colors Crystal and Unicorn. I then attached my Neenah Solar White Panel to my card panel with a fold at the top of the base panel so it opens upwards and can stand on its own.
That concludes my card inspiration for today! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! Have fun crafting and cardmaking!
