Hello friends, it’s Christy here with another sweet card using our Big Hugs Woodland stamp set. I just love these cuddling critters! Since I’d already created a card featuring the larger animal cluster, today I wanted to focus on the other two. I also brought in a few scene building accessory images from Moose and Friends and the bird from Carried Away. I colored them all with my Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

To set the scene, I created a simple watercolor background. I watered down Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink and painted that on for the sky. Then I added some Mowed Lawn for the grass and set that panel aside to dry. Next I wanted to create a frame, so I pulled out the Gallery Frame #4 and die cut that out of some Dark Brown Woodgrain Cardstock, which would give it some texture and coincide with the woodland theme, and also some Kraft Cardstock.

I popped up my frame over the background with foam tape and stamped the word “sending” in black ink. On a separate piece of White Cardstock I stamped “hugs” in red ink and used the matching die to trim it out. Then I popped up that and all my images with more foam tape for a bit of dimension. I also finished off the inside of the card, which you can check out in the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty, or by clicking on the thumbnail below. I really hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for visiting the Hello Bluebird blog today!

Sending crafty hugs,

Christy
