Hi Bluebird Friends, Sara here!
Even if I started my Hello Bluebird adventure a while ago, this is my first time here on the HB blog.
I just cannot wait to show you my first project, which obviously features some of the recent released products.
I am so in love with the Sweet Dreams Stamp, which is a FREEBIE if you spend $100 USD (before the free stamp set and before shipping costs). You can add this stamp set to your shopping cart and use the discount code MAY2022 during checkout to make this stamp set FREE (while supplies last). I am always in need of baby cards and this set was the perfect occasion.
I stamped the little bear on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock (which has become my all time favorite) using Memento Black Ink while I stamped the cloud with Memento London Fog. Those are my go-to inks if I want to use alcohol markers because they don’t stain your stamps and come off with water. I colored everything with the Copics listed below.
- BEAR: E79 – E47 – E44 – E43 – E42
- CLOUD: B000 – B0000
At the end I die cut those two pieces with Sweet Dreams coordinating dies.
I was now ready to work on the background. I took a 3,25″x5″ piece of white paper and I used the 2,5″ circle die from Nesting Circle Die to create a mask from some Judikins Masking Paper. I softly ink blended Distress Oxides in Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass. I attached the sweetest little bear sleeping on the cloud using some foam tape to create dimension.
For the sentiment, I used the Oh Baby Words die, which was perfect for the occasion. I cut the shadow from some white cardstock while I used a dark grey one for the words. Dark grey gives you a softer and more delicate look. I also added a white heat embossed strip with one of the sentiments included in the Typed Everyday Stamp.
I die cut the largest Nesting Deckle Mini Slimline Die from some baby blue cardstock and I used it to matt the main panel. I also layered a slightly larger white cardstock to enhance the deckle edges.
At the end I attached everything on an A2 piece of light grey cardstock, which I customized stamping a lot of light blue hearts (some of them belongs to the Big Hugs Woodland Stamp)
To complete the project, I also added some clear sparkling sequins.
Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the card I created, I just cannot wait to create a baby girl version using the same layout. Have a happy and crafty weekend!
Hugs from Italy!
Sara
