Hello! This is Nicky with you today and I’m curious if you shopped the brand new release yet? The release went live yesterday evening and popular items can sell out super fast so don’t procrastinate! Today I’m sharing a card for a new baby girl using items from the new release. Read on for all the details.
Hello Bluebird products used in the making of this card:-
I started by making two full size mini slim panels. The first was done using white glitter cardstock and the second was white cardstock that I ink blended using Distress Oxide Inks in Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac. I used the same inks to ink blend a cloud type edge I created using the Grassy Knoll Die. I then used the new Starry Sky Die to die cut the stars into the ink blended panel which was then adhered to the glitter panel and then the small portion of cloud edge was backed with foam tape and adhered to the bottom of the panel. I glued all of this to my already prepared card base and set it to one side.
I stamped the beautiful images from Sweet Dreams using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and I coloured the images using Copic markers. Here are my colour combinations for you:-
Bunny – W5, W4, W3, W2, W0, W000
Fawn – E55, E31, E41, W3, W1
Bear – T7, T6, T5, T4, T3, T1, T0, E31
Fox – E99, E15, E13, E11, T4, T2
Blushes and Ears – R21, R20, R00, R000
Clouds – BV00, BV000, B60, R000, R0000
A white gel pen was used to add some highlights to the images which were then die cut using the coordinating dies and they were adhered with foam tape for some nice dimension.
Included in the stamp set are several sentiments that you can use in different combinations to say what you want for both boys and girls. Mine were stamped with Ranger Archival Ink in ‘Watering Can’ so that the deep gray worked with the colours used for the black bear cub.
I kept the finishing touches simple by adding just a few diamond/crystal style embellishments for some extra twinkle.
I very much appreciate you coming by the blog today. There will be many more new blogposts in the coming days from other members of the Design Team so please bookmark us and come back often.
Have a great day!
Nicky
