Hi friends! Love is in the air and I’m excited to be sharing a sweet Valentine card with you, featuring the cuties from Flying High.

To begin, I cut a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock to 3 1/4 X 8 1/4″ and ink blended it with Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks, keeping it light in the center of the card. Next, I die cut some clouds from the Partly Cloudy Die, inked the edges with Tumbled Glass ink, and arranged them onto the background.

Next, I stamped the images from Flying High, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Flying High Dies. I arranged the colored images onto the background and attached them with foam tape for dimension.

I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a black cardstock banner, then I created a fun. bold sentiment using the Charlie Large Outline Alpha Die. I first die cut the letters with white cardstock to create the outline and then die cut the centers of the letters using a variety of Valentine themed patterned paper. I layered them together and attached to the bottom of my card using foam tape. I lust love the impact a large sentiment makes on an otherwise simple design!

Lastly, I applied some pink enamel hearts from my stash onto the clouds and then attached my completed card front to a white 3 1/2 X 8 1/2″ card base to complete my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope I inspired you to try creating a large, focal sentiment on your card next time! Happy Crafting!
