Hello everyone, Anja here with you today sharing a holiday card on which I combined the Snow Globe Builder Die with the Gnome For The Holidays Stamps.
I started off with an A2 top folding card base made from pink cardstock. Next, I stamped the Handmade Plaid Background in a light aqua Dye Ink color onto a piece of white heavyweight cardstock. I trimmed it down to be 1/4″ smaller at each side than the card base to which I adhered it using liquid glue.
The snow globe is the focal point of my card and at first I die cut the frame once from aqua cardstock and twice from white cardstock. I stacked the frame die-cuts on top of each other to make it extra sturdy. The bottom piece was cut from woodgrain cardstock and adhered as well.
For the inside of the snow globe, I created a little winter scene. I stamped the tree border image on a piece of Neenah Smooth Solar White 80lb cardstock and masked it off to create an ink blended sky. For the pink gradient, I used Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink and let it fade into white. When it was dry, I added white acrylic paint with a small paint brush to mimic snow fall. I die cut the scene and adhered it behind the stacked frame. I also used one of the hill dies to cut out a snow border which I adhered at the bottom.
I stamped the snowman and single tree and colored everything with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and added them to the scene. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a strip of dark teal cardstock. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and used the plate die to cut it out. Finally, I attached the whole snow globe design to the center of the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
