Happy Sunday everyone, today I’m back with my very first circle card I created with one of the new stamp sets from the Winter Release. Aren’t these guys adorable?
I used:
First of all – I stamped all images on watercolor based paper and colored them with Distress Re-inkers. After cutting out the cuties with coordinating dies I arranged the images on my desk to choose the size of the circles. I’m glad that there are many sizes in the Nesting Circles set to choose from.
For the frames I just used two different sizes of circles and blended with distress Oxide inks (Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet and Seedless Preserves). for the larger outer circle. For the inner circle I used the same colors but I colored this one additionally with a gold shimmer.
For the card base I cut the larger circle twice and on the circle that forms the back of the card I scored for a fold. Then put on some adhesive and put both pieces together. So that this circular card stands up and doesn’t roll over, I cut a tiny sliver out of the bottom of the back of the card and that is all it takes.
On the front I used the same pink color palette again and add some water splatters and snow flakes with a stencil with white stencil paste and arranged all the critters and frames and add them with foam adhesive on my card base. With a white pen and color pencils I colored some details and highlights. The sentiment is embossed with a rose gold embossing powder.
That’s all – I think this won’t be the last circle card I made and hope inspired you a little bit to create a round card of your own.
Thank you for stopping by today.
Happy crafty time!
Chris
