Well hello there it’s Nicky with you today and sharing a new card created with the brand new Park Play stamp set by Hello Bluebird Stamps, which I’ve paired with the fabulous new Gallery Frame #7 Die.

To create this scene I first die cut white cardstock using the Gallery Frame #7 Die and I backed it with foam tape.

I used the Grassy Knoll Die to cut to strips of grass which I ink blended using Crushed Olive and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Inks.   I attached these to the reverse of the frame I’d created and since the frame measures 5 1/2 inches square, I created a background panel of the same dimensions and I ink blended the sky with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink for the sky and this too was attached to the reverse of the frame.

The images from Park Play were stamped and Copic coloured.   Here’s my colour palette:-

Sun – Y21, Y02, Y00 Y0000

Cheeks – R00, R20, R21

Bees – B000, Y21, Y00, Y0000

Frog – G24,  G43, G40

Balloon – R39, R29, R27

Squirrel – W5, W4, W3, W2, W1, E0000, YG97, YG95, YG93,  YG91

Raccoon – T4,  T3,  T2, T1, T0, C00

Bunny – YR20, E21, YR0000, T1, T0, YG97, YG95, YG93, YG91

Snail – R000, E70, E71, T0

Flowers –  G43, R22, R20, R00

Clouds –  B000

All images were die cut using the coordinating dies and I arranged a scene and either glued directly. or for the larger elements I applied them with foam tape.

A few little finishing touches completed the card.  I used a white gel pen to highlight some points on my colouring and dotted in some interest into the grass.  I popped the panel into my Misti and stamped the Hey Bestie! sentiment a couple of times over .    The whole panel was then attached to a 100lb white cover weight cardstock card base.

These 5 1/4 inch square cards feels so substantial when you handle them and are great for scene building and I can’t wait to create more going forwards.

Thank you so much for joining me on the blog today.   Please leave your comments and questions and I will happily respond.

Happy crafting!
