Today I’m sharing a way to use slimline dies on regular sized cards, with a little help from the Word Buddies Woodland stamp set.

My top folding landscape notecard is A6 is size. This is the UK equivalent to an A2 notecard, and is 148mm x 105mm (4-1/8 x 5-7/8).
I began by working on the background. I die cut the Summer Woods Scene slimline die from white card. I won’t need the slimline frame on this card so this can be kept for a different project.

I added colour to the pieces with distress oxide inks, then details with copic makers. I then used some washi tape to secure the pieces together on the reverse side.
Next, I die cut the Gallery Frame #5 slimline die twice from white card. I layered these together, then adhered on top of the Summer Woods Scene die pieces.

On my card base, I masked off an area so I could add some colour for the sky with tumbled glass distress oxide ink. I then removed the masking tape and adhered the slimline die cuts in place, trimming away anything overhanging.
I needed some characters for my scene and the Word Buddies Woodland critters are just perfect. To help create a party, I added some extra images from the Moose & Friends stamp set. All the images are coloured with copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. I used foam tape to adhere them to the card.

Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Moose & Friends stamp set to complement the party scene.
I just love the fox jumping out to surprise his friends and the bunny taking a nap after eating too much!

Have a great day,
Gemma
