Hi everyone, Anja here and today I’m sharing a fun card with one of the brand new March Release background stamps. There are seven new background designs and all twelve of the existing cling-rubber stamps were re-released in clear. Everything is available for purchase in the shop right now!

On my birthday card, I used the Diamond Daze backgound and did the Emboss Resist technique by heat embossing the stamp first and then ink blending over it.

I stamped the background in VersaMark Ink onto a piece of heavyweight white cardstock and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. For the faded ink blending that goes from dark to light, I used Distress Oxides (Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, Broken China and Tumbled Glass). I made sure to buff off the excess ink from the heat embossed lines with a dry microfiber cloth so they would look nice and white.

Since this blue background would work well for a boy themed card, I picked the cute Party Parade stamps. The bird on the left is from the Greetings Bear set. I stamped the critters in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copics. I cut everything out with the coordinating dies and adhered the images with foam tape for a bit of dimension.

To complete my card, I added the layered Oh What Fun Words Die which I cut from white and blue cardstock.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing day!
Anja
