Hello everyone this is Nicky with you today with some happy news about both a brand new release from Hello Bluebird together with a re-release.   My card uses the Blowing Leaves Background Stamp.   All of the rubber background stamps will be re-released March 4th as clear stamps and now will be kept in stock.  Included in the new release will be several brand new Scenic Background Stamps so that you can place your favourite Hello Bluebird characters in lots of new situations and stories.  Look out for the design team’s previews in early March.

Spring has sprung outside and down below in the burrow where the bunnies live there is a birthday party underway!  I’ve incorporated the Blowing Leaves background stamp by having it work as a pretty wallpaper in the bunnies sweet burrow using the Cozy Burrow Scene Die and the bunnies are from the Meadow Bunnies stamp set.  Other elements such as the cake are taken from Moose and Friends, Cozy Christmas Eve and Snow Play.

To create this card I first die cut the Cozy Burrow Scene Die.  I adhered the outer frame to an A2 panel and then I methodically worked through the other pieces by ink blending them and with the wall piece I stamped it with the Blowing Leaves Background Stamp and then ink blended the edges to antique them a little using Distress Ink in Antique Linen and Tea Die.  Starting with the lowest floor section I then applied glue to the reverse of each piece and adhered them in position within the frame.

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped my images using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.  I coloured the images with Copic Markers.  I can tell you that the bunnies are E000, E40, E42, E43 and W2 and W3 for shadow.   Cheeks are R00 and R20.  Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and then I die cut everything.

I arranged them in the scene and once I’d settled on the best layout I backed them with foam tape and applied them to the burrow scene.

To finish the card I grabbed my gel pens and added tufts of grass and flowers above ground.  I also  stamped the sentiment from Party On The Farm and applied that.  Last but not least I added a simple skinny die cut frame from my stash just to make it look more finished and a few sparkling clear sequins added some twinkle.

The possibilities are endless with Hello Bluebird’s background stamps and they are arguable an essential addition to your craft stash.

Thanks for joining me on the blog today I’ll be back soon with something new.
