Hello crafty friends! Chris here, first of all I hope you had a wonderful and healthy start for 2021 and wishing you all the best. Today I‘m sharing a card I made with these little cute gnomes. After using a lot of blues for my winter cards I decided to make one with pinks!
For this card I used:
I started stamping and coloring the images with alcohol markers. For the clothes and hats I decided to do ‘paper piecing’, so I just stamp these little guys again on design paper and cut the parts out that I needed and add it on to the gnomes. With alcohol markers and coloring pencils I made some shadows and details. Then I die cut all the mushrooms and the grass from the Fairy Glade scene die and also colored them with alcohol markers.
For the background I ink blended a sky with Distress Oxide Ink (Peacock Feathers) and for the grass I also used a green Distress Oxide Ink (Rustic Wilderness).
I wanted this little scene to be more in focus so I cut out from two square pieces of white paper two circles in different sizes. To finish, I adhered the background onto the card base – arranged all images and glued them down. That‘s it and my card is finished.
I hope you liked my project today and as always, thanks for reading.
Happy crafty time
Chris
This is such a super cute card. The colouring is amazing, and I just love the way you have incorporated paper piecing.
