Hello everyone, Anja here and today I’m sharing a winter card in rather unusual colors using the adorable Feed the Birds stamps.
I wanted to create a dreamy Bokeh background for some time now. I’m glad I finally gave it a try, because it is so much fun! First, I blended together the Distress Oxide Inks Shaded Lilac, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold. I let it dry completely and went over the background with white pigment ink and a stencil of circles in different sizes.
Next, I die cut a snow hill with one of the Hill and Dale dies and applied Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink to the edge. I stamped all the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copics. I cut everything out with the coordinating dies. The sentiment was stamped in Shaded Lilac and I adhered the images with liquid glue.
I also added a couple of white snowflakes which I cut out with the Frosty Flakes dies. I embellished the card with pearls and gems.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!
Anja
Love the color palette; it’s so soft and pretty! Thank you for another great creation Anja.
Your bokeh background is so lovely paired with these sweet images, I’ll have to give this technique a try.
