Hi friends! As the weather is getting frosty, I was inspired to create a sweet winter themed card, featuring the adorable set, Polar Friends.

To begin, I stamped the images from Polar Friends, colored with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, and then cut the colored images with the Polar Fiends Die.

Next, I cut a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock to 3 1/2 X 8 1/2″ and ink blended the background with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink. I splattered some white acrylic paint, thinned with water, onto my inked background to give it a snow-like appearance, and white heat embossed a couple of snowflakes from Polar Friends. I then cut the snowy hills from white cardstock using the Winter Walk Scene Die, and lightly inked the tops of the hills with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink before attaching to my background. Next, I cut a red scalloped frame using the Gallery Frame #5 Die and attached to the background.

The large sentiment was created using the Be Merry Words Die and die cutting white cardstock (3 times) and an aqua glitter paper and layering them on top of each other. I then cut snowflakes from white glitter paper using the new Paper Snowflakes Die. I just love these delicate snowflakes, they really remind me of cutting paper snowflakes as a child!

Lastly, I attached the colored images to my card with foam tape for dimension, white heat embossed the sentiment from Polar Friends onto a charcoal sentiment strip, and attached to a 3 1/2 X 8 1/2″ white card base to complete my card.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs!
