Hello crafty friends, Amy here with a card using the fun Holiday Office Party set from last month’s holiday release. I inked up the woodland critters included in the set as I knew that I wanted to pair them with the Cozy Burrow Scene die. Even though they are celebrating Christmas on my card today, I can see a lot of potential for various scenes throughout the coming year utilizing this unique die.
2020 has been a crazy year for the employees of the Deep Wood Better Burrow Bureau so everyone is ready to cut loose during their annual office party. To make this lively scene happen I first ran a sheet of Copic X-Press It card stock through my printer to add the company’s signage to the wall. Once that was in place I began to stamp and mask each of the animals into the scene using Memento Rich Cocoa ink, starting with those up front and working my way back. Mr. Raccoon was stamped on a separate piece of Copic X-Press It and fussy cut, as I wanted to create the appearance of him dropping down through the snow into the office burrow. Because the snowdrift is covering his midsection I knew it would hide some crafty shenanigans, so I snipped off his tail and re-positioned it so it was still outside the hole.
Once everyone was colored up in their festive attire, using Copic markers, it was time to color in the dirt walls and floor of the burrow along with the stack of presents and record player that I free handed into the scene. I also stamped the banner greeting that is included in the Holiday Office Party set and added it to the back wall for decoration. The music notes were borrowed from the Garden Friends set and I really like how they energize the scene, can’t you just hear Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree filling the room? LOL
The above ground part of the scene created by the Cozy Burrow Scene die was also colored in using Copic markers to keep the level of detail consistent throughout the entire card. Snowfall was created by dotting on Dr. Ph Martin’s Bleed Proof White and the small sentiment was stamped onto one of the rectangles from the Joy and Peace die set. Using a black pen I drew in a little string for it to be hanging from the side of the tree.
Hopefully things don’t get too wild at this rockin’ office party because it would be a shame for any of these cuties to end up on Santa’s naughty list!
Have a wonderful holiday season my friends and stay crafty!
This gang is surely having a well deserved break at their office party!
