Hello everyone, Chris here with you today and I want to share with you this little Christmas scene card with a stamp set from the winter release. Are you in a Christmas mood? These guys from the stamp set Deck the Halls definitely are!
I used:
- Deck the Halls Stamp Set
- Frosty Littles Stamp Set
- Snowball Fight Stamp Set
- Frosty Flakes Die
- The fence from Party on the Farm
First I stamped all images and colored them with alcohol markers and cut them out. For little details I love to use coloring pencils and a white pen for some highlights. After coloring the fence I glued down white strips of cardstock for the snow on the fence.
For the sky I blended some Distress Oxide Inks (Tumbled Glass, Peacock feathers and a bit of Seedless Preserves) and added the snowflakes using the Frosty Flakes Die on this background. If you want a softer more diffused look you can also use a layer of vellum as I did here. I ink blended the edges of the snow on the ground with Distress Oxide Ink (Peacock Feathers).
After that I arranged all images to my card base and I glued them down. For more dimension I like to cut out the images twice or use 3D Pads.
I hope I gave you some Christmas feeling with this little card.
Wishing you all a wonderful first Advent.
Happy crafty time.
Chris
I love the color on the snowbanks! What a great way to edge them and stand out. It’s perfect. I’m new to Hello Bluebird and wondering about the mountains and trees. Are those a stamp set too?
Hi Pam!
The mountains and one of the trees are from the “Frosty Littles” stamp set. The other tree is from our “Snowball Fight” stamp set.
Happy Stamping!
Wow, this is such a beautiful scene card with so many details! The colors just pop off the screen! And everything is perfectly placed. What a cute stamps!
