Frightful Little Bits with Nicky

Hello this is Nicky back with you today and I’m sharing a new slimline card using those really not very scary Frightful Little Bits.  The card also uses the Gallery Frame #5 die and in the background I’ve used the background scene from Storybook Friends.  Read on for how I made it. I ink blended a slimline panel with Dried Marigold and Weathered Wood Distress Inks and I splattered on some more of the Weathered Wood.   I then used the background image from Storybook and repeatedly stamped in full or in part and created a little background.  I stamped...

Garden Party with Suzy Plantamura

Hello friends – it’s been a long time since I have blogged for HB! I hope you are all doing well and staying well! [VIDEO] Frightful Little Bits with Marine

Hello there, this is Marine, I’m back with a monochromatic card showcasing Frightful Little Bits. I like to make that kind of card for Halloween, I think it gives an extra spooky mood to a project. To create the background I started by die cutting trees using the Birch Trees die set. I cut them out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock and used hickory smoke and black soot distress inks to color them. And to ground my little spooky...

I wanted to use the freshly released Distress Oxide Inks Speckled Egg and Crackling Campfire which I think work perfectly for fall. I combined them with Gathered Twigs to create my ink blended background. To finish it off, I added tiny ink splatters with a paint brush. The Blowing Leaves Background was stamped in the same three colors by overlapping the inks on this gorgeous cling stamp. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink...

Enjoy the Little Things with Gemma

I’m enjoying creating more autumnal cards now and I love the rich warm colours of the season. My card today features the happy squirrels from the Oh Nuts! stamp set, along with the Oak Tree Scene die. I began with the background. I die cut the Oak Tree Scene die from white card. I then ran the die through the machine a couple more times, cutting a piece of green cardstock for the grass and brown woodgrain card for the tree. On my card base, I adhered a piece of patterned blue paper for a soft sky. This is...
