Hi everyone, Marine here with a sweet little scene showcasing two adorable friends from my favorite set from the last release: Besties.

I first started by stamping all my images on white cardstock using Potting Soil ink by Ranger. I like to use this brown ink when I use Hello Bluebird stamps because I think it goes very well with the style of images. So I stamped and cut everything, and colored the images using my alcohol markers.

Like always I used several sets to create my little scene:

Besties, Picked for you, Oh nuts, Skating party, Banner buddies and Storybook friends.

When the coloring was done, I created the background. I cut a grass border out of bristol cardstock using a die from the Grassy Knoll die set and used shabby shutters and peeled paint distress inks to color it.

Next I cut a 5,5 x 4,25″ bristol panel and created a very simple background using tumbled glass and broken china distress inks. And I used a forest stencil along with the same distress inks to bring more interest to my background.

I attached the grass border at the bottom of the panel using foam tape, and stuck all the images using the same foam tape as well as glue dots. When everything was attached, I added white highlights on the images and I stamped my sentiment ‘Friendship makes the day brighter’ from the Storybook Friends stamp set. And as a last detail I added white dots in the middle of each flower, as well as a few clear drops here and here to to bring some shine and finish the card.

And that’s it. A lovely scene with two little friends catching up on life. I hope you like it, and I will see you next time!
