Hello there, Marine here with two cute bird friends enjoying life on a lagoon. To create this lovely scene, I started by cutting all the background elements out of bristol cardstock using the Ocean Scene die.
Next I colored the different pieces: for the sky I used dried marigold and worn lipstock ; for the clouds I used scattered straw that I lightly applied at the bottom of the element to get some shadows ; for the lagoon I used evergreen bough and lucky clover ; and finally for the ground I used antique linen and vintage photo.
I stamped the images on white cardstock using alcohol markers friendly brown ink and colored them. Here are the different stamp sets I used:
- birds + light brown leaves: Silly Birds
- dragonflies + rocks + water lilies + reeds: Fishin’ Hole
- blue flowers: Fairy Garden
When the coloring was done, I cut the images using the coordinating dies, and stamped my sentiments. The word “Hello” is from the Silly Birds stamp set, and the phrase “Thank you for being a friend” is from the Garden Friends stamp set.
Next I assembled the background elements on a yellow card base using a combination of double sided tape, foam squares and liquid glue. I attached all the images using glue dots as well as foam squares for dimension, and finally I added white nuvo drops in the center of each flower.
And that’s it! I leave you with the video (click on the image below) and I wish you an nice weekend!
