Hi everyone, it´s Chris, back with a winter card featuring the cute skating critters from  Skating Party which have a lot of fun in the forest. For this card I used the “mirror stamping technique”. For this technique there are a lot of tutorials on the Internet and since I wouldn’t be able to explain it as well as  Jennifer McGuire did a few years ago, I’ve linked you to her video here.

To create this card I used:

In my case I also used a mirror stamping tool.  It works well with a well inked up ink pad and the best thing is that it doesn’t have to be perfect because it is just a reflection.

I stamped the critters once as reflection and once regular. Both I colored with the same colors of Alcohol markers, but in the end I put a light blue/green ( Copic BG10) over the reflected critters. Then I added Distress Oxide Ink (tumbled glass) and that’s it. If you like a softer look you can overlay with some Vellum but its not a must.

I also added Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks to create the color for my background and used the ‘Woodland overlay Die’.

I cut out the stamped images arranged them all and applied to my card base.

Maybe you will give this technique a try?

So now it’s time for me to wish you all a Merry Christmas with family and friends and  I hope 2020 brings you a lot of joy and happy moments. See you soon.

Chris
