Hi there! It’s Chris and I´m so excited to be here for my first post on the Hello Bluebird blog! My card today features the adorable Frosty Littles which are sending warm wishes.
To create the scene, I used several stamps and dies:
- the snowmen from Frosty Littles
- the tree from O Christmas Tree
- the street lamp from Merry Mice
- the sentiment from Family Photo
- and the Warm Wishes Die
First I stamped all the images I need for the scene on Post-It (or masking paper) and cut them out.
Then I stamped the snowmen which are in the front (first row) on alcohol marker friendly paper – applied the masks over the snowmen / street lamps, stamped the second row. … and so on. Yes, it took some time, but I think it was worth it.
After I colored them with alcohol markers I added some details with a white pen and coloring pencils. Then fussy cut them out.
I added Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks to create the color for my background and made a snowy effect with a white gel pen.
The “Warm Wishes“ I cut twice and one of them I inked with Distress Ink (like the Background) to use it like a shadow.
The colored bunch of cuties backed with foam tape, arranged all images and applied to my card base.
I hope you enjoyed my first Blog Post I created to share with you today and feel inspired to create! Thank you very much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful day.
Happy crafty time
Chris
This is such a beautiful scene. Lovely.
Such a cute scene with all the adorable snowmen. I think it makes for a much cleaner and seamless look so the masking is definitely worth the effort.
Oh this is so so cute! Just bought frosty littles, what a great idea.
