Hello all – can you believe we are already past Halloween and getting ready for ’tis the season?!?!?! Well, there is Thanksgiving in there first of course. I’ve been busy over here making holiday cards as they are my favorite cards to make so I can’t stop! Today I’ll be sharing one using the new Family Photo stamp set from the newest release.

I used my favorite technique for this one that I call “random stamping”. I stamped all of the smaller images from the Family Photo stamp set randomly over a card size piece of cardstock. I used a light color of ink for no-line coloring. I use my Misti when I make this type of card and then I arrange the stamps like a puzzle.

I colored all of the images in with colored pencils. I use an assortment of Caran d’Ache, Prismacolor, and Faber Castelle. I love using colored pencils on the darling Hello Bluebird images so I can really show off all the details of the stamped images.

I used a silver glitter pen for the snowflakes and then put some clear glitter drops in the center of each. I used silver glitter drops over the bells on the deer collar and the stars the penguin is holding. I also used a white gel pen to add details to the images.

I used the new Bold Holiday Dies for the title. I die-cut it out of both white cardstock (for the inside of the letters) and aqua colored paper that I watercolored (for the frame). I layered them on the bottom of the card. I added a subtitle using a banner from the Stitched Tag Builder Die and embossed the sentiment in the Family Photo stamp set. I added a snowflake above the sentiment using the Frosty Flakes Die.

I finished the card with some more clear glitter drops around the letters in Joy, on the snowflake and around the sentiment. I hope you enjoyed this holiday card. I loved using the Family Photo stamp set without the “family” giving it more uses! Thanks so much for visiting today! Suzy
