“A Christmas Carol,’’ written by Charles Dickens in 1843, has become synonymous with the holiday season, and with good reason. This heartwarming story of repentance, redemption, and the transformative power of love and charity is especially poignant during the season of goodwill to all.    ~source: Historic Hudson Valley~

Everyone is in a twitter over all the Hello Bluebird sweet stamp and die sets now available.  Our Merry Mice set with it’s available Merry Mice companion die has all the illustrative attributes of our favorite Christmas stories and activities.

Today, my card features several of the little mice caroling on a snowy night in the light of a lovely gas lamp trimmed with a bow.   Of course extra candle light is always appreciated (she smiles).  The Hello Bluebird stamp sets are full of the little extra’s to embellish your creations.

For this card I used a beautiful die set, Holly and Pine, to frame the night time carolers.  Flurries of white gouache splatter a watercolored galaxy, pine bows, and berries.   The mice, gas lamp, bow, and top hat were all stamped with distress antique linen ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper, and painted with Zig Clean Color Real Brushes.  The card base, background panel and frame are cut from hot press watercolor paper.   The galaxy was painted using Schmincke Horadam watercolors.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card today.  I look forward to seeing your creations on our Hello Bluebird Facebook page as well as Instagram.  Until next time.

Susie ~
