Hi friends! Today I have a card to share with you using a stamp set from the latest Hello Bluebird release called Pumpkin Time. Does anyone have this one yet? I love it because of the sentiments – the fonts used are so dang cute. Because I am also an illustrator, I really appreciate the quality of the HB drawings and how they mix different fonts together in their sentiments.
I couldn’t resist using the new Oak Tree Scene Die with this cute little fox pushing the pumpkin cart. I die-cut it using Fabriano watercolor paper. I like this paper as it is top notch for watercoloring and the cold-press has the coolest texture to it. And did I mention watercolors just move on it like butter? I painted it with a golden sky because I didn’t think a realistic blue sky would go with my card.
I stamped the images from the stamp set with a light color of ink and colored them in with colored pencils. I love how you can make the critters look furry with pencils! I arranged them on the bottom of the card to create a little scene with lots of leaves!
I added some more leaves to the tree. I added a sparkly paint over the watercolors you can kind of see in this image. I embossed the sentiment with Antique Gold embossing powder. And I really AM so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers! Aren’t you?!?!?! Hope you enjoyed this card and happy Fall to you all! xox Suzy
