Hello! As fall time begins, there is nothing more fun than a cute gang of squirrels running around gathering nuts and goodies or jumping in the fallen leaves…specially these from Oh Nuts! stamp set.

I made a pop-up card using simple pieces of cardstock which I scored and folded, simulating boxes without the sides (I got this idea from talented Jennifer McGuire). I decorated the inside part of the card with a blend of Distress Inks in “Scattered Straw”, “Abandoned Coral” and a hint of “Seedless Preserves” on the very top area. Then added two pieces of grass I cut with the Grassy Knoll Die which I had colored along with the bottom area of the card in “Bundled Sage”and droplets of “Mowed Lawn”. I then attached the grass pieces to the card with the boxes I mentioned before.

Here’s another view …

The images are colored with alcohol markers and die cut with Oh Nuts! Die. I glued them on to the different layers of the landscape, and for the jumping squirrel, I used a piece of acetate above the leaves to hold it in place. I love the effect of it floating in the air!

To finish it off, I decorated the front area of the card. I decorated a panel using the Handmade Plaid Background Stamp and cut an oval window in the center. I used the same colors as the inside of the card to decorate the interior area of the oval and added the images to it. I also added a banner I made out of the Gallery Frame #1 Die, with a sentiment from this set embossed in white.

The end result it’s a happy design with a surprise I hope makes you smile!

That’s it for now and I’m thrilled you stopped by…Thank You!

See you soon!
