Big Birthday Wishes with Anja

Hi everyone, Anja here and today I’m sharing a birthday card featuring the new Simply Squared Background Stamp.

First, I created an ink blended background with Distress Oxide Inks (Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose, Scattered Straw, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers). These colors remind me of yummy ice cream and almost look like a pastel rainbow.

When everything was completely dry, I stamped the background stamp with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. It’s subtle but adds a pretty and shiny detail.

I love how well the Hello Bluebird designs work together – you can simply mix and match images from different stamp sets. I combined the owl and cake from the Moose and Friends set with the bunny from the Party Parade set. The coloring was done with Copic markers.

The sentiment is included in the More Jungle Littles set and I die cut it with a speech bubble from the Photo Stack Die set. To finish off my card, I added three matching glitter enamel dots.
