Hello Hello Bluebird blog readers! Today I have a card to share with you using the brand new Seaside Girls stamp set and die set. This is my favorite set from the new release because I live by the ocean and I have two girls and we went every day in the summer when they were small like this (they won’t be seen with me there now that they are teens!). For my card today, I colored the girls to resemble my two as a memory of our times together.

To make this card, I started with a A2 card size of white cardstock. I drew an ocean line in the middle and colored the sand and sea with colored pencils. This could easily be done with Copic markers or watercolor as well. I used some clear glitter Nuvo Drops to add some sheen to the waters’ edge. I used a white frame around the edge from the new Ocean Scene die, but you can get this white frame from the other scene dies as well.

I stamped all of the images from the Seaside Girls stamp set on white cardstock with a light color of ink. I colored them in with a no-line technique using colored pencils. I used a fine tip black marker for their facial features. I attached all of the images over the background arranging them in a little scene on the sand. I went back and added some more texture to my sand and sea around the images.

For the greeting on the card, I started by stamping the top part with black ink using a greeting from the Seaside Girls set. I could have used the “friend” stamp from the set as well, but instead I went big with letters from the new Oliver Alpha. I die-cut them from pink and white cardstock and layered them.

I hope you enjoyed this card today. I want to share one more image – this card was made for the release and I posted it on my blog and IG. I thought I would share it here in case you didn’t see it already. It is also made with the Seaside Girls and I used the new Ocean Scene die for the background.

And with that, have a great week friends and thank you so much for visiting the Hello Bluebird blog today. I’m off to color more images from the new release because I really can’t stop! Suzy
