Hello everyone! I hope you’ve gotten a chance to shop the June release. There were some great stamp sets introduced with this newest release and I’m showcasing one of them today – More Jungle Littles.
These adorable animal images are so fun to color! For my card today, I created a jungle setting and arranged the animals as though they are posing for a group photo.
This card is A2 size. I started by making an ink blended background. I used Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink for this blend. I splattered with clean water first and then thinned green paint. I used the Grassy Knoll die to create the grass detail. I then used the new Gallery Frame #4 to cut out a decorative frame for the scene. I colored lots of extra leaves and tucked them under the frame to look like jungle foliage hanging down from trees. I added the animals and filled in the open spots with the sentiments which I stamped onto die cut speech bubbles.
The jungle animals are adorable and I like the way you colored the background. Cute card.
The More jungle littles are so adorable. The background is great. I love using distress inks to build a scene.
this card is gorgeous!!! wish you would have listed the copic colors you used!!
Thank you! I’m sorry, I’m so unorganized when I color. I use so many Copics that when I’m done it’s just a big pile and I lose track of what gets used on what. But I can tell you I used cool greys for the hippo, warm greys for the rhino, and neutral greys for the Elephant.
So cute! I love the blended background with the extra paint splatters. I’ll have to try that!
Thank you Donna! I find that I’m paint splattering every background these days 🙂
Absolutely gorgeous card. Your colouring is just beautiful!
Thank you so much! 🙂
