Aloha Bluebird friends! What’s up? Today I’m sharing a Tropical themed card that will have you upside down with delight! I’m featuring the ever so Silly Birds stamp set paired with the Charlie Alpha die set. I’ve also chosen a small sentiments from the Silly Birds set, What’s Up.
I love birds that talk, and I can just hear this guy saying, Aloha, what’s up?! How did I create this card? I cut a piece of 100 lb Neenah Classic Solar White card stock and spaced out my letters being careful to give enough room to die cut the circle from the set, Stitched Tag Builder for my letter O.
Next, I cut a rectangular piece of card stock and did some rainbow ink blending using Ranger Distress Oxide inks. Once it was dry I attached it to the back of the white panel with my tape runner. Now comes the fun stuff! Coloring all the those wonderful whimsical tropical leaves and flowers with Copic markers and arranging them on the card. I added a little black striped border at the bottom of the white panel to compliment the white embossed sentiment on black card stock. Finishing with some additional silliness was easy-peasy! Just add googly eyes – of course!
As with all the Hello Bluebird clear stamp sets, there is an a companion Silly Birds Die set for your convenience.
I hope you’ve been inspired to try a tropical themed card. Be sure to tag us when you do at Hello Bluebird on IG and in our Hello Bluebird Fiends FB Group. We’ll be looking for you!
