Encourage children to write their own stories, and don’t rain on their parade. Applaud flights of fantasy. Stand up and cheer the use of imagination!

Hello bluebird friends! Join me today for a Party Parade featuring this adorable set from Hello Bluebird Stamps. Our sweet character pals are marching through the woods waving their banners, and banging the drum. Enjoy the Little things they seem to sing as they merrily march along. No rain for this parade today!
Do you like the trendy slimline card designs? I think it’s a wonderful tool option for the card maker when building scenes. I started out with a 3.5 x 8.5 card base and sponged on some ink blended clouds using Rangers Distress Ink. Then I added my forest floor using the Stand Alone dies, Grassy Knoll, and Hill and Dale and die-cutting contrasting green card stock for the hills and grass. Adding florals to the path was easy with the small bouquet from the Banner Buddies clear set, and the frog from the Springtime set. My heart beats fast and my feet tap with the rhythm as my excitement for the parade builds. Of course the alligator would have an orange and green striped shirt under his alligator skin, and the little bunny ballerina skips along in a tutu of yellow tulle and crown of posies. All of my character pals are colored with Copic markers.
Music fills the air as bumblers hum, the bluebird sings, and the parade marches on…
I am so happy to have finally discovered Susie and her wonderfully beautiful and whimsical posts. This card is pure delight. And her little story to go along with it makes me smile in delight! Thank you for sharing! I want to go see this parade!!
