Hello! Amy here today sharing a card using the amazing and adorable Maverick stamps, After The Rain Scene Die, and Sunshine Scene Die.
I started building my scene with the Country Gingham Background Stamp stamped in Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink onto a white note card. Using the new scene dies, After The Rain and Sunshine Scene, several rows of clouds were die cut. The edges of two of them were ink blended with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I added the clouds to my gingham background layering them. A die cut frame (from Gallery Frame #1 Die) done in white was added flush with adhesive.
I went with a masculine color combo….blue/navy, yellow, and grey. The airplane was Copic colored with white pigment pen accents and die cut. The hardest part of this card was deciding which critter to color for my scene! I colored the elephant with Neutral Copics and added a Y19/Y26 combo for the hat (used same colors for the plane). Once I had my elephant positioned into the plane (with scotch tape on the back), I added my airplane to my card with foam adhesive. The clouds were a perfect place to stamp the split sentiment in black VersaFine Clair black ink.
Have a great day!!
Amy
Adorable Amy! Change the sentiment and this would make an adorable new baby or even a first birthday card for a little boy. I love the color scheme you’ve chosen. This set was our little grandson’s favorite (he’s six years old). He looked at all my finished cards and said, “Nana, I like this one the best!” He sent his little cousin the Unicorn card – she is 2 years younger and the sparkly unicorn was right up her alley! LOL This new release has something for everyone!
