Hello everyone! Leanne here and I’m sharing a very colorful card featuring the new Easter Egg Hunt stamp set. I love the playful images in this set but thought they could be used for more than just an Easter theme. I wanted to have the bunnies and chick look as if they are painting a big happy birthday greeting front and center on this slimline card.
I started by creating an ink blended background for the scene using three colors of Distress Oxide Ink – Squeezed Lemonade, Salty Ocean, and Seedless Preserves. I used the Happy Birthday Word dies to cut out the greeting from white card stock. I then colored the words with an ink smooshing technique and splattering with the same three Oxide inks.
I Copic colored two of the bunnies, a chick, several paint cans, brushes, and butterflies from the Easter Egg Hunt set. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I then adhered the happy birthday to center of the ink blended panel and arranged the images to look as though they are painting it. There was a space under the birthday word so I decided to stamp “to somebunny special” which is included in the Easter Egg Hunt set. I hand drew in the butterfly trails and added just a few iridescent sequins.
I added the finished scene panel to a slimline card base that measures. 8.5 inches by 3.5 inches. I hope I’ve offered you some possible ideas with using this fun Easter set for other occasions. Thanks for joining me today and have a wonderful week!
Hello, i love the combo of colour and i was wondering what copic markers colours did you use for the critters and every éléments of your card.
