North Star With Jess

Good morning!  Jess here with a colorful alcohol inked card featuring North Star and parts of the buildable Skating Pond Scene die! I’ve been meaning to try using my copic marker refills for an alcohol inked background and figured a winter night sky would be the perfect opportunity!  I started by covering the paper with a little copic blending solution.  Then I dropped copic marker alcohol ink in RV13, BV00, and BV04 across the panel and pushed it around with an air puffer.  Once the ink was totally dry I splattered it with white gouache and let that dry...

Skating Together and Skating Pond Scene Die with Nicky

Hey Everybody!  Nicky back with you today with some inspiration from the most recent Hello Bluebird release.  I’m using the new Skating Together stamp set with a background created using the new Skating Pond Scene Die I stamped my Skating Together images onto Bristol Smooth cardstock using Archival Ink and watercolour painted them using Kuretake Zigs.  I highlighted some points and subtly glittered them using Stickles in ‘Crystal’.  I then fussy cut them out and set them to one side. My idea was that the characters are skating just as the sun is beginning to set in the early...

Skating Party with Gemma

Today I’m sharing a Christmas card using the new Skating Party set and Skating Pond Scene stand-alone die. The Skating Party stamp set is packed full of adorable critters. This set is perfect for Christmas cards and also winter themed cards. I began by stamping and colouring all the critters, using copics. I used a rainbow of different colours. I then die cut them using the coordinating dies. From some white card, I then die cut the Skating Pond Scene die. This fantastic die cuts all the pieces in one pass, but they are all separate pieces. I love...

Hello Winter with Amy Kolling

Hello!  Amy Kolling here with a little piece of winter that arrived here in Kansas last weekend!  We literally had 60 degree weather on Saturday and then a BLIZZARD on Sunday.  It was crazy! Any way, I thought it would translate well into this card using the newest stand alone dies……Frosty Flakes.  To create my background, I started with a light blue cardstock panel.  To this panel, I ink blended Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Inks.  Over the top of this panel, I spritzed generously Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray: Sparkle from Imagine Crafts.  If...
