Good morning! Jess here with a colorful alcohol inked card featuring North Star and parts of the buildable Skating Pond Scene die!
I’ve been meaning to try using my copic marker refills for an alcohol inked background and figured a winter night sky would be the perfect opportunity! I started by covering the paper with a little copic blending solution. Then I dropped copic marker alcohol ink in RV13, BV00, and BV04 across the panel and pushed it around with an air puffer. Once the ink was totally dry I splattered it with white gouache and let that dry while I worked on the rest of the card!
While that was drying I stamped the fox and birds from North Star onto white cardstock and colored them with copic markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. I used similar shades of BV markers for my birds and toner greys for my little fox! I also die-cut the Skating Pond Scene die from white cardstock and black cardstock. I kept the frame from black cardstock and the ground from the white cardstock. Once the alcohol inked panel was dry I trimmed it down to an A2 panel and adhered the black frame over it. Then I puzzle-pieced in the ground pieces from the die set. I adhered my fox with foam mounting tape and added my birds. Then I stamped the sentiment from Typed Christmas on black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before trimming it down to a thin label and adhering it to the card. Finally I added a few white pen accents and a little nuvo crystal glaze with prisma and chunky glitter sprinkled on top! I really love the range of colors you can get using copic refills as alcohol inks and the cute critters just complete the scene!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a fabulous weekend!
