With the warm days of summer behind us, I’m definitely getting in the mood for making Christmas cards. Today I have a card using an adorable Hello Bluebird Christmas stamp set called Joyful Mouse.
I love to make Christmas cards with non-traditional colours. I decided on a colour scheme of rose gold and coloured my images with soft pinks and browns.
For the background, I took a piece of white card slightly smaller than my card base, and die cut the word Christmas across the width, using the Charlie Alpha die set. I also die cut the letters again from white card and also glitter papers in rose gold, silver, and gold.
I blended on some spun sugar distress oxide ink onto the panel, then adhered it on my card base. I then inlaid the two white card letters, followed by the glitter letter into the panel. This gives some lovely dimension to the sentiment.
To accompany the glitter letters, I stamped a sentiment from the HB Just Sayin’ stamp set.
I then added the images from Joyful Mouse with foam tape, along with some Pretty Pink Posh jewels in pink blush and pearl white.
Thank you for joining me today. The Hello Bluebird DT are looking forward to sharing some cards with the October release very soon. Watch this space!
