Hello there! Audrey here with a fun winter themed card with you using the adorable Frosty Friends stamp set and coordinating Frosty Friends dies!
To create my card, I started off with a white card base cut to 4″ x 5.25″. I ran a piece of white cardstock through my diecut machine to add a stitched edge, then masked off the panel about 2/3 of the way down. I inked above the mask with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. Then I removed the mask, flipped it around to cover the sky, and inked the water with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink. I used the Pond Builders die set to add a snow bank to the bottom of the panel as well, which I popped up with foam tape. I stamped and colored a cute little penguin, his ice block and a trio of trees from the Frosty Friends stamp set, then diecut them with the Frosty Friends dies. Before adhering them, I splattered the background and the trees with some watered down white acrylic paint. Then I stamped and diecut a speech bubble from the set to use as my sentiment. I arranged everything, and adhered everything with foam tape.
I love adding little details to my cards. The finishing touches are my favorite part. I added white gel pen accents, stamped some tiny snowflakes from the set in teal ink, and to add more snow without more color, I added some glittery Nuvo drops to the sky.
That’s all for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! 🙂
The background with the different types of snow is beautiful!
