Hello everybody, this is Nicky with you today and I’ve started on my Hello Bluebird Christmas cards by using a stamp set from last Christmas called ‘Quiet Christmas’.
I took a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock and trimmed it to A2 size then ink blended it with Distress Ink in Spun Sugar to a fading ombré affect. I applied it to my card base and then die cut the Gallery Frame 3 Die from white cardstock and used the outer portion of the frame, applying it to my scene popped up on dimensional foam tape.
On yet more Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped out all of my images using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil. I watercolour painted everything using Kuretake Zigs and highlighted some points with a Uni-ball Signo White gel pen. I played around with an arrangement for all of the individual pieces and once I was happy I layered them into the scene using varying amounts of dimensional foam tape to build depth. I stamped the sentiment in the same ‘Potting Soil’ ink and applied it between the fir trees.
The finishing touch was lots of fun. I took some Nuvo Crystal Drops in ‘Simply White’ and made highly dimensional drops over the trees and then in varying sizes all over the entire scene. They are glossy, gorgeous and fun and I let them dry sitting level for several hours!
Another card complete!!
Thank you for stopping by to read on the Hello Bluebird blog today! We love to hear from you so please feel free to leave your comments.
