Hi, crafty friends! This is Rubeena from A Rare Ruby back with another project for you! I hope you’ve been loving what my teammates have been sharing with the new release. There is always more inspiration on the Hello Bluebird Instagram page so I’d recommend following their page.

My card today uses Otter Friends with the coordinating dies. Whenever I get new products, I try to stamp them on regular white cardstock and watercolor cardstock. This allows me to color or create the card design when I can find the time. I don’t always have my card planned out and even when I do, I end up changing it as I create.

So I started by stamping some of the images from Otter Friends and coloring them with Copic markers. I cut them with the coordinating dies and set them aside.

For the card design, I used Gallery Frame Die #2 and ran it through my die-cutting machine with white cardstock. I used the scallop frame and the inner frame. I glued the scallop frame to my card base with Scor-tape. I had a blue watercolored panel that I decided to use for the “water.” Recently, I was setting up my watercolor paints in a new palette so every time I had extra paint dropping out, I made a watercolored panel for it. This helps me to use more color in my cards. I trimmed it down to fit behind one part of the frame and glued it together. Then I mounted it over my card base with foam tape.

I stamped the wave stamp in dark blue and white pigment ink over the “water.” I added details with a white gel pen. I stamped the sentiment in blue and then added all the images with foam tape.

I hope you were inspired! Thanks for stopping by and leaving some love. Until next time!
