Hi there Hello Bluebirds fans! Leanne here today to share a card I made featuring some of the absolutely adorable images from the new Moose and Friends stamp set. This set is just jam packed with critter cuteness for creating all kinds of celebratory cards.
I picked out the two skunks to be the focal points of this fun birthday scene. I colored all the images with Copic markers and added some highlight details with a white gel pen. There are a few layers to help frame and build this scene so I’ll walk you though each one.
I started with an A2 top folding card base. I added a panel of black and white gingham that I made by stamping with the Country Gingham background stamp. This panel is the same length of the card but a bit narrower. Next I added my ink blended sky background panel. I used a cloud die from the Grassy Knoll stand alone die set to create layers of clouds. For the bottom of this scene I added two layers of grass using a grass border die also from the Grassy Knoll die set. The front layer is popped up with foam tape.
I stamped two sentiments from the Moose and Friends set directly onto the clouds. I also stamped the balloon strings directly on the background before adding the Hooray balloon. To help get perfect placement of the strings, I stamped the Hooray balloon in a light gray ink just as a guide – it gets covered up with the Copic colored image so you never know it’s there. I added all the other images to the scene with foam tape to help give a little dimension. As one last finishing touch I went over the balloon strings with a Stardust Glitter pen for a tiny bit of sparkle.
I can’t say enough good things about this new stamp set. It’s just so much fun for creating woodland critter scenes. I know it will be one I reach for often!
Until next time – have a great day!
