Hello everybody, this is Nicky with you today, I’m sharing a shaker card I made using the ever so lovely Deer Friend stamp set combined with the Gallery Frame Die #1.

I started by ink blending a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock using Distress Inks in Cracked Pistachio, Spun Sugar and Mermaid Lagoon.  I then took a panel of white cardstock and die cut it using the Gallery Frame Die #1.  This die separates the outer frame from the inner one so I adhered them back together on the reverse then applied a piece of acetate and finally I stamped the sentiment with black archival ink and added two layers of Scotch foam tape so there was plenty of space for the movement of the shaker contents.

I set about to create a sweet mix from my sequin and seed bead collection and then I sealed the shaker unit closed by applying the ink blended panel I had already created.  I then applied the shaker panel to the A2 card base which is a necessarily sturdy 110lb Neenah Solar White to support the pretty substantial weight.

On some Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped out my images using Ranger Archival Ink in black. I watercolour painted the images with Kuretake Zigs and I highlighted their blushing cheeks with a Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen as well as one or two other areas.  I adhered the characters etc to the top of the shaker window with more foam tape and decided no further embellishment was necessary.  Here’s a final look at the card!

Thank you for stopping by the blog today for some inspiration.  I will see you the next time.
